What outcome are you seeing from your time?
If you’re spending time engaging online you should be seeing positive results. If you’re not seeing results you need to reconsider your social engagement strategy. Meaning, reevaluate your content, posting times, platforms, etc. If you’re thinking you don’t want to engage online, don’t know how, or have time, then you should consider hiring a person/company to assist. Don’t keep doing the same old thing over and over again. The important part is – how valuable is the time you’re spending? What else could you be doing with your valuable time as a business owner? As a business owner, your time is very valuable! You have a business to run! If you weren’t engaging in social media each and every day you would have more time to do what you need to do – run your business!
Should you be spending more time engaging with potential and current customers through social media?
Don’t continue spending time or invest more time, If you’re not seeing the results you want with your current social engagement strategy. What would be the benefit of increasing your engagement across your social media platforms if you’re not seeing results? There would be no benefit at all. Also, sometimes less is more in the world of social engagement. If you’re not seeing the results you want, reconsider your strategy or hire an outside person/company to assist you with creating a new strategy. If you’re seeing results from your current strategy, then consider the time you’re investing. The more time you’re engaged in your online presence is the less time you’re invested in your actual live business. There are many other areas of your business you could be working on! The key is finding a balance between your business and your engagement. If you’re struggling to find balance then it’s time to consider getting help.
Are the outcomes worth the time invested?
If you’re investing your valuable time into social engagement then you want and should be seeing a benefit or positive result. It doesn’t matter how much time you’re spending engaging with your audience on social media if you’re not seeing the desired results from the investment of your time. The time spent in social engagement should be reflecting results. Keep in mind, results will be slowly gained. Don’t expect instant major results. The point to remember is social engagement needs to generate a positive result. To generate a positive result, your posting needs to be clear, engaging, and consistent.
In summary, If you’re finding yourself overwhelmed or lacking in your social engagement you should consider hiring a social media management service or social media manager. Not seeing the results you want? Reevaluate your engagement and posting strategy. If you don’t want to create a plan, don’t have time, or don’t know how, then consider the positive impact of hiring a social media manager or service. If you’re seeing results but the time spent is taking away from your business, then consider getting help with your social engagement.
